Code Life is a summer camp geared for teens with any or no programming experience. The camp focuses on creating and publishing smartphone apps, as well as learning Object-Oriented Programming concepts with the Java language.
By the end of the camp, students will have built at least five custom apps, be able to post their creations on app stores, and learn how to market and monetize their creations.
Upon completing the five day course, campers have a chance to win an internship at a local Charleston tech startup!

At the end of [Code.Life], campers will meet with representatives from the local tech startups Everlink and Insyte. Students even have a chance to land a summer internship at one of these Charleston companies!
Kairos Innovations, the parent company of Everlink, provides a software platform that helps making connections at tech conferences easier. Everlink is looking for Android interns to work as part of the technical team for building and maintaining software.
Interns will learn how startup companies operate, gain in-depth app design skills, as well as make valuable connections in the tech world!
Insyte is another startup company in Charleston. The Insyte app is the Airbnb for photography: photographers and bloggers use the platform to microlease property to take pictures.
Insyte interns will use skills learned during [Code.Life] to help program the company's web and Android apps along the the dev team.
